The Daily Mail which questions the firing of Melissa because of her entertainment value does a wonderful paragraph about her
"Last night she was yet again blathering on about a task speaking to her skillset, when it had become quite clear from previous episodes that her skillset was profoundly deaf."

I will get around to reading those reviews but she deserved to go just for using the word "professionality"
