Forum rules

These rules will be updated shortly.
Currently the rules are
1) No personal abuse: You may be ferocious about ideas, principles and opinions but not about other forum members. Personal disputes should be conducted in PMs or email, not on the forum.
2) You must not post messages that are vulgar, crude, sexist, racist, homophobic or otherwise offensive. Always treat other Users with respect.
Posts breaching the forum rules will be immediately moved, deleted, or archived.
If the rules are breached there is a disciplinary procedure described below. All members have to be approved so hopefully the procedure will never have to be used.
A member is always in one of four states, and moves between these states dependent on offences they have committed or good behaviour during probationary periods.
State 1, No offence state: An offence in this state will normally move member to state 2
State 2, First level offence state: An offence in this state will normally move member to state 3. This state may be temporary and after a probationary period a member may revert to state 1.
State 3, Second level offence state: An offence in this state will normally move member to state 4. This state may be temporary and after a probationary period a member may revert to state 1 or 2
State 4, Banned state: A ban will be enforced for a period at the discretion of a mod. If the ban is temporary, then on restoration of access rights a member will move to a state at the discretion of a mod.
All communication with regard to the disciplinary procedures will be conducted by PM.
